It is because of my profound recognition of love in Dan Bacon’s vows to his wife Liz that I stand resolved, Dan and Liz Bacon ought to spend their lives together.

Johan & Alison

The first time I spoke on the phone with Johan,  I could actually feel how much he loves Alison.  He conferenced her into our call, and his voice came alive when she said “hello.”  That’s love.  And then, when I met this extraorinary couple in person, I could understand why.  It’s obvious that they are meant to be together.  Their passion is evident in the way they look at each other, in their gentle touches, and in the way that Johan just can’t keep from smiling when he looks at his beautiful bride.  “Awesome of the Awesomeist.”  That’s how he describes her, and she IS amazing.  She’s a classic beauty.  That’s why the hairstyle she chose for the big day was perfect for her.  Very Audry Hepburn-ish, with ornate combs, created by her talented cousin of serenity bridal .  It was such fun photographing Alison at the salon at the resort.

This was my first wedding at the JW Marriot Camelback Inn, and I was impressed, very impressed.

Laura+MIke { Laguna Gloria} Austin, Texas wedding photographer

 

If you follow me on facebook or twitter then you know i was more then a little excited for Laura and Mikes wedding in Austin, Texas. I know lots of wedding photographers get to travel to all sorts of fancy places. But for me Austin was a HUGE deal! And in case you were wondering it did not disappoint. The bride Laura was adamant that I would fall in love with Austin and I did. The people were nice and talked with sweet, drawn out southern accents. The bbq was AMAZING! And the Blue bonnets gave me goosebumps. ( I just wish I could have taken some home) But I only saw them on the sides of freeways).

 

I have a ton of Instagrams from our trip but those will have to wait. I have wedding pictures to show you all!!

 

When I pulled up to Laura and Mikes wedding venue Laguna Gloria I got butterflies in my stomach. The landscape was nothing like what we have here in Arizona. Green trees as far as the eye could see.As I walked around the venue I knew the wedding was going to beautiful. Laura and Mike are so genuine and so sweet. Their wedding was a perfect reflection of their personalities. I am so grateful for the opportunity to photograph their beautiful wedding day.
